Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) is an Apex Cooperative Management Institute, aided by Govt. of India, to impart training and education and to undertake research and consultancy work in the field of Cooperative Business Management.

Institute conducts around hundred short duration Executive/Management Development programmes for senior/top level officials/Non-officials in cooperative sector in order to improve the decision making skills and administrative competence of practicing managers.

It also provides educational facilities for young men and women seeking careers in enterprise management with additional emphasis on cooperatives, through two long duration residential courses viz. (i) Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (DCBM) of approximately 38 weeks (9 months) and (ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Cooperation) of two years.

The Institute has highly qualified and experienced core and associate faculty from management schools. It has also got excellent infrastructure comprising Library with total collection of about 40,000 books of different disciplines and over 400 Journals in relevant fields, Computer unit with Intranetware and AS-400 server and Pentium nodes, Auditorium, Conference / Seminar / Class rooms and well equipped hostel and community center.

PGDBA (Cooperation) is an MBA Plus programme with all the components of Business Management course besides additional subjects like Cooperation, Cooperative & Business laws, Agro processing, Urban Cooperative Banking etc. Mission of the programme is to develop strong human resource base capable of managing cooperative, public and private sector enterprises. The course is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and is also accredited to Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst Of India (ICFAI), for its CFA-MBA programme.

The sixth batch of PGDBA (Cooperation) commences from 11^th August 1998.

• Graduate / Post graduate in any discipline from a recognised university from India / Abroad with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
• Students appearing in degree examination or awaiting for the results.
• Proficiency in English is essential

• No entrance test for Foreign / NRI and Serving officers sponsored by their Cooperative Organisation / Department
• Written test on GMAT pattern at Banglore, Patna, New Delhi and Pune on 21.5.98 for Indian candidates.
• Qualifying candidates shall be called for Group discussion and Personal Interview at Pune on 28.6.98.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (DCBM) is a programme which aims at strengthening and professionalising management in cooperatives by providing opportunities to executives of cooperatives to develop their skills through exposure to modern management concepts, methods and techniques and transform themselves physically, mentally and spiritually with help of YOGA, Pranayama and Meditation. The programme is recognised by Govt. Of India, New Delhi for recruitment and promotion for higher positions in Cooperative Departments / Organisations.

The XXXII th batch of DCBM commences on 6^th July 98 and will be in session up to 21^st March 99 (Approx. 38 weeks).

• The participants sponsored for the programme should have atleast a bachelors degree of recognised university and preferably experience of minimum 3 years in managerial capacity in cooperative organisations / Government departments.
• Preferably below 35 years of age (relaxable in deserving cases) and should have good knowledge of English.
